Gambrills, MD 2024-May-07 - Sapphire Rise, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible STEM education to underrepresented populations, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the STEM.org Accredited™ Educational Experience trustmark by STEM.org Educational Research™.
STEM.org is the longest continually-operating, privately-held STEM education research and credentialing organization in America. Since 2001, its leadership has been instrumental in key initiatives critical to the overall growth and proliferation of the STEM movement.

Sapphire Rise offers a range of STEM initiatives for students K-12, with a focus on providing hands-on learning experiences and mentorship opportunities. The organization's founders, Latonya Powell and Beth Adams, are both African American scientists and Boy Moms, who are passionate about expanding opportunities for underrepresented groups in STEM fields.
This recognition highlights Sapphire Rise's commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and quality in STEM education.
